Let it Snow!

We do still love snow even after living in Canada. We couldn't wait to hit the hills after our big snow.
Skyler with his "real" snow board. He doesn't fit in here with the board like he did in Canada. There, all the kids had boards - here none do. And there weren't even any picnic table jumps.

It's a Girl!

Last Christmas, all Sierra wanted was a puppy from Santa but since we were renting, we couldn't get one. Sierra remembered that Santa left a note last year promising to bring her a puppy once she was home. Santa made good on his promise and brought an adorable 6 week old Golden Retriever puppy. After some research on breeds good with children - several e-mails to breeders and finally a twist of luck of an ad placed in our local paper - Mia Belle (my beauty) was delivered on Christmas morn. It was very cool because Jeff and I had told the kids all along that we don't want a puppy. She's a great addition to the family and is well on her way to being puppy potty trained. I wondered how we'd have the time and energy for another responsibility in the house but it's like having your second baby - you don't know how you could possibly love another child as much as the first - but instead of your love dividing - it multiplies.

Mia at 4 weeks with her sister - she has the darker red coat.

Dropped the Blog Ball part 2 - Christmas prep

It's great to just relax and watch cartoons on a cold day. And the boys are both old enough now to sit for about 20 minutes to watch Diego so I can get some work done.
Annual gingerbread project.
School Christmas concerts.

Cut out cookies - all hands were on deck this year. Seth said they tasted good enough for Santa.

Sorry, I dropped the blog ball

Annual Santa visit. Seth freaked.

The Taylor Trim -daddy style hair cuts with the clippers - complete with vacuum clean up - cut & clean.
above - Seth "helping" clean the floor.
left - pulling out the Christmas decorations - that face of awe is priceless.

The end of the semester got to me and I didn't blog - sorry about that. So I have a lot of catching up to do.
